In the iconic 1985 movie, “Vision Quest” a high school wrestler played by Matthew Modine feels he must do something significant in his life shortly after turning 18. Against the advice of his father and coach, he decides to try and lose 20 pounds in a very short time in an attempt to take on the defending state champion of a lower weight class. Needless to say, the journey to achieve that quest requires discipline, focus, and commitment to a goal that ultimately ends (spoiler alert!) with an upset victory.
The Oracle Analytics team has maintained its own discipline, focus, and commitment in order to deliver one of the leading analytics platforms in the industry. Their quest has resulted in being named a Visionary in Gartner’s 2021 Magic Quadrant for Analytics and Business Intelligence Platforms.
The announcement below by John Hagerty, Vice President, Product Management for Business Analytics at Oracle, highlights Oracle’s take on what the designation means:
As John says, “Oracle Analytics is an end-to-end cloud-first platform that delivers visionary augmented data preparation, visualization, dashboards, storytelling, reporting, data science and mobility options.“
Oracle Analytics (OAC) was also named a Visionary in 2020; the 2021 placement continues what has been a strong trend for Oracle in the analytics space. Customers have seen the great progress that has been made in embedding artificial intelligence and machine learning into the product while providing a robust visualization interface to dramatically improve data literacy. The continued evolution has been apparent, and the reward is Gartner’s recognition of the work done by Oracle to meet the analytics needs of its customers and implementation partners.
